ArtZone 461 Gallery is pleased to announce a show concerning Architecture and Interiors in the main space. The exploration into architecture and interiors represents an investigation into architect as artist and artist as architect: What architectural elements, if any, are carried over from being trained as an architect, versus the artist as architect, designing interior spaces both real or imagined? The layout and composition of artist’s interiors have neither budget nor boundaries; space is organized as needed and easily changed; the possibilities of interior architectural paintings are limited only by the artist’s imagination. Architectural subjects range from the industrial to domestic.
Architects who make visual art such as painting or photography bring a different skill set to the creative process. ArtZone 461 Gallery works with two former and one current architect: the latter is a professional photographer in addition to doing architecture and the two former architects are working as full time painter & yoga instructor and the other is a painter and mother to two middle schoolers. Interiors are lavish, quaint, formal or on fire, inviting or frigid, and even hectic or calm.
